Casting has been announced for the Trafalgar Studios transfer of Coming Clean, the heart-breaking, award-winning play revived at the King’s Head Theatre.

The news will see Tony played by Lee Knight (A Very Very Very Dark Matter, Bridge Theatre); Greg by Stanton Plummer-Cambridge (Macbeth, Southwark Playhouse); Robert by Tom Lambert (making his West End debut); and William/Jurgen by Elliot Hadley (5 Guys Chillin’, New York; Preston Passion, BBC).

Adam Spreadbury-Maher, Artistic Director of the King’s Head, will direct the production, playing at Trafalgar Studios 2 from 9 January to 2 February 2019.

Set in Kentish Town, North London, Coming Clean places a gay couple’s seemingly perfect lives under the microscope, reflecting on the complex questions of fidelity, love, and the breakdown of a relationship. The show enjoyed its 35th anniversary production in 2017 at the Bush Theatre.

Written 12 years before his most famous play, My Night With Reg, Coming Clean won Kevin Elyot the Samuel Beckett Award for writers showing particular promise in the field of the performing arts.
