TV star Caroline Flack will join the cast of Chicago from 10 December 2018, playing Roxie Hart until the end of the show’s West End run on 5 January 2019.

It’s a case of dreams come true for the Love Island, X Factor and I’m A Celebrity presenter, who confessed that she’s “been imagining playing Roxie since [she] was a teenager… I hope I do everyone proud and don’t fall off the ladder!”

She’s no stranger to the stage, however, having played Irene Roth in the 2017 national tour of Crazy For You, and she won the 2014 series of BBC1’S Strictly Come Dancing.

Flack joins star of RuPaul’s Drag Race Todrick Hall as Billy Flynn, Josefina Gabrielle as Velma Kelly, Mazz Murray as Mama Morton and Paul Rider as Amos Hart. Sarah Soetaert will play her final West End performance as Roxie Hart on 8 December.

Chicago originally ran in London for 15 years, making it the West End’s longest running revival. It first opened at the Adelphi Theatre in November 1997 as an Olivier Award-winning hit. The production returned to the Phoenix Theatre earlier this year.

Featuring sizzling Broadway choreography from Ann Reinking, in the style of Bob Fosse, and a beloved score including Razzle Dazzle, All That Jazz and the famous Cell Block Tango, a criminally good show lies in store – so don’t miss it before the turn of the year!
