Bug confirms full cast

Published 3 March 2016

Bug, the play that returns James Norton to the London stage later this month, has completed its cast. Alec Newman, Daisy Lewis and Robert Goodale join Norton and the previously announced Kate Fleetwood.

Tracy Letts’ play, staged to mark the 20th anniversary of its premiere, runs at Found111 from 24 March to 7 May. A dark comedy, it is a tale of two people on the edge and follows a cocktail waitress holed up in a motel room hiding from her violent ex-husband. She has just drink and drugs for comfort, until a stranger arrives.

The production, directed by Simon Evans, brings Newman back to the London stage for the first time since The Motherf**ker With That Hat. Goodale’s last London outing came in Jeeves And Wooster In Perfect Nonsense, which he also co-wrote, while Lewis is best known as Downton Abbey’s Sarah Buntin.

Bug opens at Found111 following the London return of Land Of Our Fathers. The 1979-set tale of six trapped Welsh miners exposing secrets and firing accusations runs from 8 to 19 March.
