It doesn’t matter how old you are. It doesn’t even matter how well you can hold a tune. It’s a well-known fact that one of life’s greatest joys is a song everyone can sing along to.

Everybody loves joining in with a tune, whether it’s a karaoke track, a nursery rhyme, or even just something as simple as “Happy Birthday”. And that goes for the little ones, too, for whom song is the perfect way to practise their language. Family-friendly songs are everywhere nowadays. So in honour of the launch of this year’s Kids Week, here are some of the best sing-along songs for kids from the world of theatre.
