Alfie Allen joins The Spoils

Game Of Thrones star Alfie Allen and Olivier Award winner Katie Brayben will join the previously announced Jesse Eisenberg and Kunal Nayyar in hit comedy The Spoils when it opens at Trafalgar Studio 1 later this month.

The cast for the European premiere of the hit off-Broadway show will be completed by Billions star Annapurna Sriram, who starred alongside Eisenberg and Nayyar when the play ran in New York in 2015.

The play, written by Eisenberg, runs in London from 27 May to 13 August. It tells the story of Ben, who’s a bully. When he discovers his school crush is marrying a straight-laced banker, he decides to destroy their relationship and win her back.

Allen, who should be used to playing a bullied man after rising to global fame as the systematically abused Theon Greyjoy in Game Of Thrones, takes on the role of banker Ted, making his West End debut in the production.

Brayben, who can currently be seen in My Mother Said I Never Should at St James Theatre and won her Olivier Award in 2015 for originating the title role in Beautiful – The Carole King Musical, plays the object of Ben’s affection, Sarah.

Playwright and Batman V Superman’s Lex Luther, Eisenberg, takes the role of Ben with The Big Bang Theory’s Nayyar as his housemate Kalyan. Sriram, who like Eisenberg, Nayyar and Allen is making her West End debut, plays Reshma.

Tweeting about the announcement, Brayben said:
