To be cast in the West End cast of Wicked and own the Apollo Victoria Theatre stage every night, you need three things: talent, perseverance, and a strong sense of emojis.

At the show’s recent media night, we put the new Wicked London cast of 2017/18 to the test, including Alice Fearn (Elphaba), Sophie Evans (Glinda), Bradley Jaden (Fiyero), Melanie La Barrie (Madame Morrible) and Andy Hockley (The Wizard).

Based on the acclaimed novel by Gregory Maguire that re-imagined the stories and characters created by L Frank Baum in The Wonderful Wizard Of Oz, Wicked tells the incredible untold story of an unlikely but profound friendship between two girls who first meet as sorcery students.
