Playwrights Simon Stephens, David Eldridge and Robert Holman come together to create a new play about hope, love, fear and the very end of time.

A Thousand Stars Explode In The Sky is set on a farm in the North East of England where a family gathers. Behind them the sea boils orange. The universe is coming to an end.

If it were all to end, where would you go? Who would you see? What would you do?

Lyric Artistic Associate Stephens is the award-winning author of plays On The Shore Of The Wide World, Motortown, Harper Regan and Punk Rock, which played at the Lyric Hammersmith last year.

A Thousand Stars Explode In The Sky contains nudity and scenes of a sexual nature. It is suitable for theatregoers aged 14 and older.
