Kids Week Activities

During Kids Week, select shows will run Workshops or interactive Curtain Calls before or after performances, so you can get even more from your theatre trip!

Workshops

Activities, including singing, dancing, acting, puppetry & storytelling workshops can be booked alongside theatre tickets for the attached performance via this page. Spaces on these workshops are limited so a maximum of 4 children can attend per booking.

MOVEMENT AND SING-A-LONG WORKSHOP Get ready to stretch, stomp and sing! In this high-energy, interactive workshop, children will bring their favourite characters from The Gruffalo Live on Stage to life through creative movement and music. •Move Like the Animals: We will explore the deep dark wood and learn how to move just like the clever Mouse, the high-spirted Snake, the cunning Fox and the eccentric old Owl. •The Ultimate Gruffalo Stomp: Children will master the heavy stomps, terrible claws, and turned-out toes of The Gruffalo himself! •Sing-a-long Fun: Pop on your singing voices! We will be singing and dancing along to their favourite catchy songs from show. This workshop is the perfect mix of structured learning and imaginative play. SINGING AND DANCING WORKSHOP Movement and Music workshop: Teaching artists will transport you from a West End studio to Mount Olympus. Explore one-of-a-kind choreography and music – inspired by this epic musical. Disney teaching artists will teach participants an extract from show track Zero to Hero! COMEDY ACTING WORKSHOP Step into a world of hilarious espionage and partake in a comedy workshop in the West End. Learn how to go undercover with characterisation exercises with the team from Mischief’s smash-hit The Comedy About Spies, then dive into a scene from the show. MOVEMENT AND CHOREOGRAPHY WORKSHOP Experience a 2 hour movement workshop on stage at The Hunger Games: On Stage, led by company members. The workshop will focus on the importance of the pre-show warm up for actors and then look at elements of the opening District 12 movement sequence and additional elements of choreography from throughout the play. Join us after the matinee performance for a special behind-the-scenes Q&A session! Audience members who wish to take part will have the chance to hear from members of the company including Actors, Stage Management and Technical Crew about how they bring the show to life. The company will introduce themselves and their roles, share some fascinating facts about the production and the theatre building, and even demonstrate some of the show's live foley sound effects. There will also be plenty of opportunities to ask questions and discover what happens behind the curtain. We encourage everyone to get involved and learn more about this iconic show.

Peppermint Breath – learn the dance and sing-a-long Learn the dance and sing along to the song 'Peppermint Breath' from the show.
