tick… tick… BOOM! is Jonathan Larson’s autobiographical musical about his struggle to be accepted as a new musical voice.

First performed off-Broadway in 2001, tick… tick… BOOM! was first seen in London in 2005, when the Menier Chocolate Factory gave it a UK premiere directed by original off-Broadway director Scott Schwartz.

This new production stars Julie Atherton, Paul Keating and Leon Lopez.

Atherton originated the roles of Kate Monster and Lucy The Slut for the West End production of Avenue Q, a show to which she returns following tick… tick… BOOM! Atherton’s other credits include Mamma Mia!, Fame and Just So.

Keating recently played Seymour in the Menier Chocolate Factory production of Little Shop Of Horrors which transferred to the West End. His other credits include Tommy, Don Carlos and the Old Vic production of Cinderella.

Before tick… tick… BOOM! Lopez was previously seen in Wig Out! at the Royal Court and Rent at the Duke of York’s theatre, though he is best known for his TV roles in Brookside and Hollyoaks In The City.

tick… tick… BOOM! plays as part of the Notes From New York at the Duchess Theatre season that also includes The Last 5 Years.
