Back by popular demand after critically acclaimed smash hit 2016 and 2017 seasons, award-winning playwright Tommy Murphy’s slice of Aussie life, Strangers In Between, returns to the West End.

Timid sixteen year old Shane has fled his rural hometown for the glitz, glamour and glory of Sydney’s King’s Cross. Adrift among the lonely hearts and hot boys, Shane attempts to navigate the troubled waters of his past toward a brighter future.

The Strangers In Between cast includes Roly Botha as Shane, Dan Hunter as Will and Stephen Connery-Brown as Peter.

Tommy Murphy is an Australian playwright best known for his stage and screen adaptation of Timothy Conigrave’s memoir Holding the Man, which won numerous awards including Best Play at the New South Wales Premier’s Literary Awards, an award he also won for Strangers In Between, making him the only playwright to win this award in successive years.

Strangers In Between is an unflinching look at the highs and lows of growing up gay in modern Australia, bursting with laugh-out-loud one liners, simmering sexual tension and heartfelt confessions. This coming-of-age, dark comedy ultimately looks at the importance of friendship.

Please note this performance contains full frontal nudity, and is suitable for adults only.
