With only a week to go before they open, we joined the cast, director and writer (who had kindly recently flown in from the States) to talk all things Waiting for Waiting for Godot.

Take a look at the video to find out a few behind the scenes secrets …

Following two understudies as they wait for their surely inevitable turn in the spotlight, Dave Hanson’s side-splitting off-Broadway comedy Waiting For Waiting For Godot receives its European premiere this August.

Set backstage at a production of Samuel Beckett’s absurdist play, two hapless stand-ins fill in the time waiting for their turn on-stage.

While doing so, they ponder art, life, theatre, and their very existence within it, hilariously questioning Beckett, the world of showbiz and just what on earth it’s all about. Are the only people who really understand Waiting For Godot its understudies?

Directed by Mark Bell, the critically acclaimed director of the Olivier Award-winning The Play That Goes Wrong, Waiting For Waiting For Godot receives its European premiere at the St James Studio on 30 August and you can find out more information through us here.
