In our profile series, Tell Us In Ten, we ask cast members and creatives of top London shows to tell us all about themselves in just 10 questions. From how they got their start in the industry to their favourite shows, we want to know everything.
This time we’re chatting to Paddy Bever who is playing Henry Creel in Stranger Things: The First Shadow – the gripping adventure that will take you right back to the beginning of the Stranger Things story – and may hold the key to the end.

1) My route into theatre was…
I always wanted to act, and it started as a hobby when I was about seven. Later, I started going the Manchester School of Acting at age 14, which is how I met my first agent. Then I got cast in a TV show which I worked on for three and a half years. Then I got this role, which is my theatre debut.
2) My West End idol is…
Andrew Scott!
3) My colleagues would describe me as…
Shy, probably.

4) My favourite show (that isn’t one I star in/work on) is…
I loved People, Places And Things.
5) The career moment I’m most proud of is…
Winning ‘Rising Star’ at the National Television Awards in 2022. I was nineteen and it was a huge deal for me!
6) The hardest part about my job/role is…
All of the tension I have to hold in my body, as well as the physical demands.

7) If I wasn’t an actor, I would be…
A conservationist.
8) Something people don’t know about me is…
I was born in my parents’ bedroom. It’s still their bedroom now.

9) The best piece of advice I’ve ever been given is…
Stop worrying about what other people think of you – My Dad.
10) The one thing I wish I could tell my younger self is…
You can do whatever you set your mind to. Nothing is impossible.
