Full casting has been revealed for Theatre Royal Stratford East’s world premiere of seasonal romcom Summer In London.

Billed as a mix of The Inbetweeners with a modernised A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Summer In London follows the romantic exploits of four young homeless men living in Stratford during a summer heatwave, and will star Tigger Blaize (Mosey), Kimberley Clarke (Joan), Tyler Luke Cunningham (Hamza), Emma Frankland (Justine), Victoria Gigante (Summer), Ash Palmisciano (Jack) and Kamari Romeo (Ryoko).

Audiences are invited to join the four love-laden lads as they vie for the heart of a beautiful woman, Summer – but on zero budget. Masking their broke bank balances, the quartet use every trick in the book to find cost-free ways to impress her, including trips to museums, parks and firework displays – but as the sun sets and the drinks flow things get complicated, we discover nothing is as it first appears.

Summer In London is about friendship, finding love, and being yourself, and stars an all-transgender cast and an original new soundtrack. Rikki Beadle-Blair, who was ranked fourth on the Rainbow list of the UK’s hundred most influential LGBT+ people, writes and directs.

The hilarious romcom begins previews at the venue on 8 July, opening on 13 July, and runs until 29 July.

You can book your tickets through Theatre Royal Stratford East’s website.
