Do you know a junior chart-topper of the future? Then School Of Rock – The Musical could be their first step on the road to rockstar glory this May.

Continuing their countrywide talent search for kids ready to ‘join the band’, open kids auditions will take place in London on Wednesday 9 and 16 May for musicians, and Monday 21 and Wednesday 23 May for ensemble members.

Auditioning kids must be between 8-12 years old, and either play a rock instrument (guitar, bass, piano, and/or drums), or sing. Registration and further details can be found by contacting Jessica Ronane Casting via the School Of Rock auditions page.

So if you’re a pint-sized musical prodigy looking to make an entrance onto the West End scene, this could be the opportunity for you. Check out what a day in the life of a School Of Rock band member is like.

Based on the hilarious 2003 film of the same title, School Of Rock – The Musical sees the kids at a prestigious prep school form a rip-roaring rock band under the leadership of wannabe rocker Dewey Finn. With lessons in the power of rock from Dewey, they eventually rise up to compete in the legendary Battle of the Bands.

The show features music from the movie, as well as new music written by Andrew Lloyd Webber with lyrics by Glenn Slater and a book by Julian Fellowes.

School Of Rock – The Musical is currently booking at the recently renamed Gillian Lynne Theatre until 13 January 2019.
