Rambert Dance Company have won the Olivier Award for Best New Dance Production for their typically zesty reworking of Swamp at Sadler's Wells. Shown as part of Rambert's Mixed Programme in November 2004, Swamp displayed Michael Clark's choreography at its most striking. The piece was originally devised by Clark as part of Rambert's 60th anniversary celebrations but was completely revised for this latest staging.
Rambert's Artistic Director, Mark Baldwin, accepted the Olivier Award from the legendary Cuban dancer Carlos Acosta.
