Standby Glinda Sophie Linder-Lee could be considered a Wicked veteran. Five years ago the dancer turned actress joined the This Morning Audience Award nominated show.
Elphabas and Glindas have flown in and out of the Apollo Victoria in that time. Numerous Doctor Dillamond’s have bleated about something baaaaad happening, a Fiyero or two has danced his way through life, and there have been a number of wonderful Wizards.
Through the comings and goings, Linder-Lee has remained a constant. Should she catch herself on an unexpectedly sharp wand point, I suspect her blood would be emerald green. There must be little about the Oz-set musical, which shuns Dorothy to tell the story of two sorcery students and the events that are twisted around them, she doesn’t know.
That’s why she makes the perfect interviewee to answer the questions of Twitter’s massed ranks, which is exactly what the actress, who is a musical comedian when she’s not trying to solve the problems of Oz, did last week.
