Our five favourite Wicked moments

Wicked turn the unlucky 13! We take a look back at our five favourite moments with this long-running spellbinding spectacular. We hope you all have a Wicked Birthday, including all the new cast who premiered in summer this year!

1. Wicked’s performance at West End Live 2019

One of the last performances of Laura Pick and Sophie Evans before the cast change earlier this year, this performance was especially spellbinding. Performing For Good and Gravity, the voices of the women of Wicked really shined.

2. Wicked’s Countdown to curtain up

Wicked has some of the most incredibly intricate, fairy-tale style costumes and make-up of any show in town, so it was fantastic to get a sneak peek of all that goes on behind the scenes. Including how long it takes to get Elphaba *that* shade of green!

3. #TheatreLoungeLive

Las year we had the pleasure of inviting Alice Fearn and Sophie Evans to perform for us at Theatre Lounge Live. Strange enough as it was to see them in jeans and face-paint free, they still managed to bring the magic to these acoustic performances of songs from Wicked.

4. Wicked’s 9th Birthday video

To celebrate Wicked turning 9 back in 2015, the hit musical invited a group of lucky friends to record a very special version of For Good. It will warm the cockles of your heart and – if you’re a big Wicked fan – make you very jealous! Read more about how they made the video here.

5. Sophie Evans meeting Kristin Chenoweth

Wicked’s original Glinda, Kristin Chenoweth, came to visit the West End cast of the show. Sophie Evans, playing the West End role of Glinda at the time, sat down to chat with one of her heroes about the character, the production and the amazing story of female friendship.

Wicked is currently booking at the Apollo Victoria until 23 May 2020 – get tickets below, it’s sure to be Popular!
