Cover My Tracks, a new production with live music, starring Charlie Fink and Jade Anouka, will be performed at The Old Vic from Monday 5 to Saturday 17 June at 10pm, as part of Lates At The Old Vic.

Former Noah and the Whale front-man and songwriter Charlie Fink, multi-award-winning playwright David Greig and director Max Webster bring us the tale of an idealistic young songwriter who sets out to write a 21st Century pop masterpiece and vanishes without a trace. Might her personal songbook be the key to unlocking the mystery?

Theatre and music interweave in this unique show, bringing together the experience of a live gig and modern folk tale.

The theatrical production of Cover My Tracks premieres in tandem with the release of Charlie Fink’s debut solo album of the same name, on sale 2 June 2017. The album, produced by Charlie Fink, will feature studio arrangements of the music heard in the theatrical production with string arrangements by Trey Pollard (Natalie Prass, Matthew White), backing vocals from The Staves and acclaimed classical guitarist Laura Snowden. Following the run at The Old Vic, festival appearances of the theatrical performance are set to follow throughout the summer.

Charlie Fink first became known as the frontman and songwriter for the band Noah and the Whale. The band’s four albums sold over a million copies collectively, and they headlined at notable venues around the world including a sold-out show at the Royal Albert Hall. Fink was the producer of Laura Marling’s Mercury Prize-nominated album Alas, I Cannot Swim and has written and produced music for artists including Charlotte Gainsbourg, Foxes, Rhodes and Eliot Sumner. He has directed music videos and two extended short films which were screened at music and film festivals in the UK and internationally.

Fink’s first foray into the theatre was also a collaboration with David Greig on Dr. Seuss’s The Lorax, which debuted at The Old Vic in 2015 and was nominated for an Olivier Award for Best Family Show. The production will make a triumphant return to The Old Vic in October before touring in Canada and America.
