The new cast of Wicked are flying into the show from 22 July, but you don’t have to wait that long to see them all costumed-up, as their production shots have been released!

Playing the role of Elphaba (and therefore finding green paint everywhere from now on), is Nikki Bentley. No stranger to defying gravity, both Nikki and Helen Woolf (who’s playing Glinda) are reprising their roles following their successful UK and Ireland tour.

Playing love-interest Fiyero is Alistair Brammer. Alistair has been a regular on the West End stage since 2009 when he made his debut as Marius in Les Misérables. Since then, he’s made an international name for himself after playing Chris in Miss Saigon both here and on Broadway. He will be replacing David Witts who will be performing as Fiyero for a final time on 20 July.

Joining the talented trio from 22 July are:

  • Kim Ismay (Madame Morrible)
  • Andy Hockley (The Wizard)
  • Simeon Truby (Doctor Dillamond)
  • Natasha Ferguson (Nessarose)(Maternity cover for Carina Gillespie)
  • Idriss Kargbo (Boq)
  • Laura Pick (Standby for Elphaba)
  • Lisa-Anne Wood (Standby for Glinda)

The ensemble are completed by Chanelle Anthony, Meg Astin, Rebecca Botterill, Michael Colbourne, Lewis Easter, Nolan Edwards, Kerry Enright, Rebecca Gilliland, Lucie Horsfall, Nicole Lupino, Maggie Lynne, Stuart Maciver, Carl Man, Rhidian Marc, Joanna Sawyer, Tonye Scott-Obene, Scott Sutcliffe, Genevieve Taylor, Grant Thresh, James Titchener, Libby Watts, Bryony Whitfield, Chad Wilder, Dickie Wood, Chiarina Woodall and Tom Woollaston.

A fond farewell will be in the offing for current stars Alice Fearn, Sophie Evans, David Witts, Melanie La Barrie, Chris Jarman, Rosa O’Reilly and Jack Lansbury, when they play their final performances on Saturday 20 July.

Wicked is the world-class West End musical based on Gregory Maguire’s best-selling novel. Through music and lyrics by award-winning composer Stephen Schwartz, the show imagines what shaped the world that shaped the destinies of two unlikely friends on their way to becoming Glinda The Good and the Wicked Witch of the West.
