Following a UK tour last summer, The West End Men will finally reach their spiritual home when Lee Mead leads a strictly limited run of the theatrical concert at the Vaudeville theatre later this year alongside special guest star Kerry Ellis.

Running from 25 May (press night 3 June) to 22 June, The West End Men is described as a “stylish and dynamic concert spectacular” and promises to take audiences on a journey to the very heart of the West End in fittingly theatrical style. Featuring a full band and choir, the show will include a jazz-hand inducing, high-kick inspiring selection of songs from the West End, Broadway and beyond.

Mead, who appeared in last year’s UK tour of The West End Men alongside Stephen Rahman-Hughes and Matt Rawle, has more than earned his leading man status since winning the BBC’s talent search series Any Dream Will Do in 2007.

After his TV-won leading role Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Mead went on to play Fiyero in Wicked and star in Legally Blonde The Musical, as well as turning to drama to lead the cast of a national tour of Lord Arthur Savile’s Crime.
Mead’s career as a singer and recording artist also has led him to perform at high-profile events including Andrew Lloyd Webber’s 60th birthday celebration concert in Hyde Park, tour with his own band and release three solo albums.

A fully fledged leading lady, Ellis will appear in the West End production following her guest starring role in last year’s UK tour. The award-winning musical theatre star has appeared in numerous shows including We Will Rock You, Wicked, Olivier!, My Fair Lady, Miss Saigon and Les Misérables. Like Mead, she is also a recording artist, performing at numerous venues across the world and making it into the charts with her studio albums.

The West End Men, which  is directed by Mitch Sebastian, the director behind similar West End theatrical concert The Rat Pack Live From Las Vegas, promises to announce further casting and leading men to join Mead soon.
