Horrible Histories returns for Xmas

Terry Deary and Neal Foster’s hit family treat Horrible Histories: Barmy Britain Part Two! will return to the Garrick Theatre this Christmas following its current summer residency at the West End venue.

Serving up another delightfully disgusting dose of history with all the best bits – aka the nasty bits – left in, Barmy Britain Part Two! will play over the festive period from 13 December to 4 January following a forthcoming international tour.

Starring co-writer Foster and Horrible Histories’ regulars Alison Fitzjohn and Anthony Spargo, the show takes family audiences on an entertaining journey through British history from battling Queen Boudicca to dastardly Dick Turpin.

Boasting dozens of costume changes, numerous accents and a sprinkling of adult in-jokes, the show has won acclaim for its brilliantly silly romp through British history from the Roman invasion to Victorian Britain.

Barmy Britain Part Two!, which comes to the end of its summer run on 31 August, will play daytime performances alongside the forthcoming West End transfer of the Young Vic’s Olivier Award nominated The Scottsboro Boys. The musical will follow current production Let It Be into the theatre from 4 October.
