Horrible Histories’ Barmy Britain is coming back to the West End

Not all of us enjoy learning about History… but everybody does when it’s Horrible! And the proof’s in the (bread-and-butter) pudding, as the Horrible Histories stage show has announced it will return this summer for an eighth West End year with Barmy Britain – Part Four.

Barmy Britain – Part Four became Horrible Histories most successful show in the series last year, when it played a sell-out summer season in Theatreland. And it’ll be back this time around, playing at the Apollo Theatre from 1 – 31 August 2019.

Horrible Histories live on stage offers you the opportunity to meet people from history. Ruthless Romans, a terribly toothed Queen Elizabeth I, and a witch-hunting King James I are just some of the colourful characters families will encounter in Barmy Britain – Part Four. You’ll also be able to mount a mutiny against King Henry VIII, witness Mary Tudor’s tiff with Mary Queen of Scots, peep into the world of Samuel Pepys, and discover how to survive the first ever train ride!

The show is produced by Birmingham Stage Company, based on author Terry Deary’s beloved children’s books. The award-winning company also produce the stage versions of David Walliams’ Gangsta Granny and Awful Auntie, recent hits on the West End stage.

Tickets are available through the show’s website.
