They’ll tell the story of tonight: the award-winning production of Hamilton has announced that 10 new cast members will join the show for its second year at the Victoria Palace Theatre.

The Olivier Award-nominated Jamael Westman will continue as Alexander Hamilton, while original London cast member Sifiso Mazibuko will step up to play arch nemesis Aaron Burr from 3 December.

Joining the Hamilton company are Allyson Ava-Brown as Angelica Schuyler, Dom Hartley-Harris as George Washington, and Jon Robyns as King George, while original cast member Courtney-Mae Briggs will switch roles to play Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds.

Rachelle Ann Go continues as Eliza Hamilton, along with Tarinn Callender as Hercules Mulligan/James Madison, Jason Pennycooke as Marquis de Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson, and Cleve September as John Laurens/Philip Hamilton.

The Hamilton ensemble will comprise continuing members Jade Albertsen, Curtis Angus, Stephenson Ardern-Sodje, Johnny Bishop, Jack Butterworth, Kelly Downing, Leslie Garcia Bowman, Gregory Haney, Leah Hill, Barney Hudson, Waylon Jacobs, Aaron Lee Lambert, Phoebe Liberty, Sharon Rose, Alexzandra Sarmiento and Lindsey Tierney. They will be joined by Robson Broad, Lisa Darnell, Joe Griffiths-Brown, Sinead Long, Emile Ruddock and Ellena Vincent.

As the role of Hamilton is certainly ‘Non-Stop’, between 17 December 2018 and 12 January 2019, Ash Hunter will portray Alexander Hamilton. In the second year cast, the role will be played by Karl Queensborough at certain performances.

Hamilton opened at the Victoria Palace Theatre in December 2017 to ripples of acclaim, winning 7 at this year’s Olivier Awards with Mastercard ceremony. The Lin-Manuel Miranda musical tells the story of America’s forgotten Founding Father, through a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, blues, rap, R&B and Broadway.

Relive their performance at the ceremony below.
