Bennett, Matthews and Teale have their Time at Court

Published 11 January 2013

Max Bennett, Owen Teale and Sinéad Matthews will star in Anna Wakulik’s A Time To Reap at the Royal Court theatre next month.

Bennett, who has recently appeared on the London stage in Penelope Skinner’s adaptation of The Promise at the Trafalgar Studios, has previously appeared at the Royal Court in Posh and In Basildon. The actor is also well known for his film roles in Anna Karenina, The Sweeney and The Duchess.

Tony Award-winner Teale, who was last seen at the Royal Court in Martin Crimp’s The Country, has appeared on stage in productions including Creditors at the Donmar Warehouse, Ivanov at the National Theatre and A Doll’s House in the West End and on Broadway, for which he won the prestigious award. His on screen credits include Stella, Line Of Duty, Game Of Thrones and Kidnap And Ransom.

Last seen on stage in the Young Vic theatre’s hit production of The Changeling, Matthews’ theatre credits include Complicite’s The Master And Margarita at the Barbican and Ecstasy at the Hampstead theatre and in the West End, as well as BBC series Ideal on screen.

Playing in the Jerwood Theatre Upstairs from 22 February to 23 March, A Time To Reap explores one woman’s story against the mountain landscape of an evolving nation and one of Poland’s hottest political topics, abortion and the Catholic Church.

Directed by Caroline Steinbeis, the production will open at the Royal Court’s intimate upstairs space following Rough Cuts, which includes a series of short plays by Alia Bano, DC Moore, Nick Payne and Skinner, and a work in progress performance of EV Crowe’s latest play.
