Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s one-woman show Fleabag, which has won a clutch of awards for both performance and play, will return to Soho Theatre this May.

The story of a modern girl who is singularly unafraid to discuss her faults in the most frank of terms, which recently won Waller-Bridge the Critics’ Circle Most Promising Playwright Award, will run at Soho from 7 to 25 May.

The tale of a twentysomething struggling with what it means to be a woman today has also won writer and performer Waller-Bridge a Fringe First, the Stage Best Solo Performer Award, and the Off-West End Awards for Most Promising New Playwright and Best Female Performance. She also received a commendation from the prestigious Susan Smith Blackburn Prize, given to recognise female playwrights working in the English language.

News of Fleabag’s Soho comes while another production staged by the show’s creative team plays at the venue. The One, written by Fleabag’s director Vicky Jones and starring Waller-Bridge, tells the story of a cataclysmic love affair. It runs at the venue until 30 March.
