Almeida organises Relaxed Performance

First Published 23 August 2016, Last Updated 23 August 2016

The Almeida Theatre has announced its second relaxed performance of 2016. On 21 September, audiences will be able to attend an adapted version of They Drink It In The Congo, Adam Brace’s new comedy about the unfortunate consequences of trying to do good.

Sound and lighting will be altered and there will be a chill-out area for those wishing to leave the auditorium at any point. Those attending the performance will have an opportunity to visit the venue beforehand in order to familiarise themselves with the space. There will also be the opportunity to participate in workshops discussing the themes of the play.

The Almeida hope to encourage older audiences who may benefit from a more relaxed performance environment to attend.

Tickets are £10 but all support workers and companions can attend for free. For more information and to book tickets call 020 7288 4999 or email access@almeida.co.uk
