A day in the life of Baddies: The Musical

The consumption of elderly relatives. The taunting of red riding hood-sporting little girls. The avoidance of woodcutters. Just some of the things you’d expect the Big Bad Wolf to get up to on an average day in the woods.

At the Unicorn Theatre, however, the infamous villain – played by the lovely Dean Nolan – is embarking on an altogether different lifestyle as he takes to the stage in Baddies: The Musical, the venue’s new musical uniting the Big Bad Wolf with his fellow fairy tale bad guys.

We asked the actor behind the big-eyed, big-eared Big Bad Wolf to document his day in pictures and instead of grandparent-guzzling we found river commutes, interval selfies and caffeine (and G&T) consumption.

There is only one way the Wolf travels to work… Via water taxi. Best way to travel in London.

Did I remember all my notes? Always changing!

Stop off for the best coffee. I don’t know this man’s name but he is lovely!

Coffee hit and over excited to arrive at the Unicorn Theatre.

See I do have friends. Vocal warm-up with cast and the legend Joel Fram.

We didn’t know anyone was taking a picture honestly. Fight call time.

Get given a copy of the cast album… Wow… But how does it sound?

Beginners call dressing room with the baddie boys!

Showtime. Granny is ready!

Interval selfie with the ladies.

I think the show went ok. Squeeze with director Purni Morell and choreographer Wilkie Branson.

A sweaty Wolf needs a shower with only Lush products.

Dinner break then a notes session with all the amazing creative team.

The day has finished and it’s back on the boat and home for a G&T.
