The hit tap-tastic West End musical 42nd Street has announced open auditions for chorus boys and girls at Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, seeking strong tap dancers.

In a post on social media, the acclaimed revival production of the classic song-and-dance musical detailed auditions, which will take place at the West End venue on Monday 18 September.

42nd Street is the American dream fable of Broadway, the classic story which sees Young Peggy Sawyer’s dreams of a shot at astronomical stardom come true overnight. But the race is on to prove she’s more than just another face in the chorus line.

With an all-singing, high-kicking cast of over 50 resplendent on the West End’s biggest stage, Theatre Royal Drury Lane, 42nd Street features the iconic songs We’re In The Money, Lullaby Of Broadway, Shuffle Off To Buffalo, Dames, I Only Have Eyes For You and, of course, the renowned title track.
