Simon Stephens’s dark new thriller Three Kingdoms tells an international tale of human trafficking and the vice trade.

Three Kingdoms begins with the grisly discovery of the severed head of an Estonian woman in the Thames at Hammersmith. When a pair of British detectives set off to discover her origins and how she came to die, they enter a nightmarish world that will change them forever.

Three Kingdoms, which takes the detectives through Germany and Estonia, is performed by an international cast using all three languages.

Three Kingdoms plays at the Lyric Hammersmith as part of World Stages London.

Three Kingdoms contains strong language, nudity and adult content. It is suitable for theatregoers aged 16 and older.
