The Pianist Of Willesden Lane is the UK premiere of the critically acclaimed true story about a young Jewish pianist in wartime with grand aspirations, accompanied by beautiful live music at the St James Theatre.

Following sell-out runs in the United States, the show is set in 1938 Vienna and, thenceforth, in London, where a young pianist is sent via Kindertransport having been torn from her family.

Dreaming of a concert debut at Vienna’s storied Musikverein concert hall, her hope is threatened – but never defeated – by new ordinances issued under the Nazi regime.

A tale of family, hope and survival, this is the family story of Mona Golabek, and features some of the world’s most beloved piano music played live on a Steinway concert piano.
