Following on from the success of Sean Holmes’s revival of Saved, the Lyric continue their celebration of Edward Bond with a trio of his one act plays.

The Chair, first performed on Radio 4, is set in a society where every act of compassion is a crime and every action outside the norm is suspicious, a society where even the misuse of a chair attracts unwanted attention.

The Chair completes The Chair Plays season, following on from a double bill of Have I None and The Under Room. All three plays can be seen as a unique triple bill on 19 & 26 May.
