Matthew Baldwin and Thomas Hescott’s acclaimed cabaret-style production transfers to the Trafalgar Studios for a limited five week season following two successful runs at Ovalhouse.

The Act is set in 1960s London as the men in suits at Westminster are putting the finishing touches to the freedoms we take for granted and the men in Soho bars are putting the finishing touches to their hairdos.

Featuring personal anecdotes, verbatim House of Commons speeches and music, the production explores the life of Matthew, a civil servant with a big heart and an even bigger secret who is caught between these two very different worlds.
