Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker’s Rosas remains one of the most innovative, boundary-pushing contemporary dance companies in the world. This season the company brings two contrasting works to London – the classic Rosas Danst Rosas and the UK premiere of Zeitung.

One of Rosas’s earliest works, Rosas Danst Rosas premiered in 1983 and has since been performed countless times around the world, firmly establishing it as a classic with a permanent place in the Rosas repertoire and two Bessie Awards. To mark the work’s 25th anniversary, Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker reprises her original role alongside three members of the second generation; Cynthia Loemij, Sarah Ludi and Samantha Van Wissen.

Created in 2008, Zeitung examines the unstable relationship between music and dance as nine Rosas dancers revolve around pianist Alain Franco, who performs JS Bach, Anton Webern and Arnold Schönberg live on stage.
