Itzik Galili’s party piece for Rambert, A Linha Curva, returns to Sadler’s Wells for a percussion-fuelled carnival of dance. 28 dancers, four samba drummers and a dazzling light show contribute to its infectious energy.

This is followed up by a new piece from Ben Duke. Rising star Ben’s dance theatre creation is inspired by the music and spirit of Nina Simone, with a selection of her best loved songs performed live on stage. His work explores the overlap between dance and theatre, with his most recent production embarking on an award-winning UK tour in 2016.

The programme also features a celebration of the dancers’ virtuosity choreographed by Andonis Foniadakis, director of Greek National Opera Ballet, with a newly commissioned score by Ilan Eshkeri. Known for his technically detailed dance works full of energy and power, this is Foniadakis’s first piece for the company.
