New Scarlett/Polyphonia/New McGregor offers the chance to see two of ballet’s leading choreographers join with one of its fastest rising stars in an evening of contemporary brilliance.

Following the extraordinary success of Liam Scarlett’s debut work Asphodel Meadows – already revived by the Royal Ballet – comes a new ballet. Scarlett has already won audiences with his unique combination of classical training, musical sensitivity and inventive choreography.

Last presented by The Royal Ballet in 2006, Christopher Wheeldon’s Polyphonia is a series of beautifully crafted episodes of emotion and mood set to Ligeti’s intense and virtuoso piano music.

Completing the triple bill is a new piece by Wayne McGregor, Resident Choreographer of The Royal Ballet. With pop and fashion as the theme, McGregor joins forces with Gareth Pugh, Mark Ronson, Andrew Wyatt and guest artists.
