Part pop concert, part controlled chaos – and part show – all intricately orchestrated by a meticulous director, Miss Revolutionary Idol Berserker is Japanese subculture conveyed in an immersive showcase of all its multi-coloured, cacophonous, frenetic glory.

Expect the unexpected as you are equipped with a rain poncho and ear guards on entry.

But you’ll still be surprised by what is thrown over you, as twenty-five actors storm the stage, confront you at breakneck pace and bombard your senses with a precisely choreographed medley of dance, music, bellowed slogans and video clips.

Founded by Tokyo-based artist Toco Nikaido, Miss Revolutionary Idol Berserker sees her riotous company kitted out in rainbow-hued costumes and armed with an abundance of disposable props, breaking down the barriers between cast and audience as the show hurtles towards a festival-like finale that invites everyone to take part.

Please note that this performance includes water, confetti and food products being thrown at the audience, who will be encouraged to leave coats, bags and shoes in the cloakroom, and provided with a poncho before the show starts.

Age guidance: 14+ due to loud music.
