When Gregor turns into a monstrous insect his family’s life changes over night. The original revulsion gives way to resentment, and strange things start to happen.

Franz Kafka’s humorous yet terrifying story is jointly adapted and directed by Lyric Hammersmith Artistic Director David Farr and Icelandic director/actor Gísli Örn Gardarsson of Vesturport, and features original music from Bad Seeds Nick Cave and Warren Ellis.

The production was first seen at the Lyric Hammersmith in September 2006 and has been brought back to the theatre due to its popularity.

This production is not recommended for anyone under the age of 12.
