The master of American contemporary dance, Mark Morris has become the benchmark of creativity for a generation of dancers, choreographers and audiences. Morris has created dances for more than thirty years, which have ranged from the austere to the joyful, able to switch between the deeplymoving to the downright silly. Celebrated by critics for his inventive and imaginative choreography, Mark Morris returns to Sadler’s Wells with a total of seven works never before seen in the UK, divided into two unmissable programmes.

The selection for Programme B features the “charming, exhilarating” (New York Observer) Festival Dance, the recently unveiled duet Jenn And Spencer, the piano-accompanied sextet, Excursions, and A Wooden Tree, set to recordings by the Scottish poet Ivor Cutler.
