Come along to see Peter Hawkins perform a selection of songs from his new CD, Love And Anarchy – The Songs Of Léo Ferré, and share some of the stories behind the songs. Since the 1970s Peter Hawkins has been adapting and performing the poetic and dramatic songs of Léo Ferré (1916-93), famous French anarchist singer-songwriter and contemporary of Jacques Brel and Georges Brassens.

To mark the 20th anniversary of Ferré’s death Peter has recorded a double CD of his songs in his own English versions, which will be available after the concert. The concert will be followed up with a free songwriting workshop on Saturday 30th March at 1.30pm For further information and samples of his songs, you can visit his website www.onemanchanson.com
