Lidless, Frances Ya-Chu Cowhig’s devastating first play, won the Yale Drama Series Award for Playwriting in 2009 and the 2010 Edinburgh Festival Fringe First Award.

Lidless centres on Alice, who, 15 years ago, took pills to forget what she did as part of her job as an interrogator at Guantanamo Bay. Now married with a child, her past comes back to haunt her when a former detainee pays her a visit.

Lidless marries the implacable logic of a Greek tragedy with an all-too-modern setting.

After a sell-out run at both the HighTide Festival 2010 and the Edinburgh Festival, Lidless comes to London and reconfigures Trafalgar Studios for the first time into an in-the-round auditorium, placing the audience within the world of the play.

Lidless contains adult themes and some strong language.
