It is 1959, the American pianist Liberace is forced to defend himself at the Old Bailey, after a Daily Mirror journalist implies he is gay. As Liberace is forced to defend his reputation and his liberty, both the hypocrisy of Liberace and the times he lives in are exposed revealing how many gay men were forced to take desperate measures. This comic tragedy is followed by Late Night Magic in the West End (until Jun 12).
