Last Seen takes audiences on a multimedia journey from the stage of the Almeida theatre onto the streets of Islington.
In any one year over 200,000 people go missing. Most are found. Last Seen explores the world of those who have fallen through the cracks, a place for the unnoticed and a place where lost souls land.
Last Seen is presented by Slung Low, a Bradford-based company led by seven artists from diverse backgrounds including movement, video, sound and direction. In 2008 the company won the Oxford Samuel Beckett Theatre Trust Award to create Helium, a theatre installation set in five boxes which combined live and digital performance. It was presented at the Barbican as part of the BITE Festival.
Last Seen is part of the Almeida theatre’s 2009 Summer Festival, which also includes The American Capitalism Project, Or Nearest Offer, The Golden Hour and the Tiata Fahodzi Festival Concert.
