Invasion! interweaves the lives of young Arab immigrants. In a breakneck flow of words, it reflects on western prejudice about identity, race, language and terror.

Invasion! investigates the need to reinforce our own sense of community by some creation of a common enemy. For some of the characters Abulkasem is just a word, for some he is the enemy and for others Abulkasem becomes a long sought after identity. What will it mean to you?

Jonas Hassen Khemiri’s play Invasion! has been a hit with young audiences in Sweden for the past two years. This English language production at Soho theatre is directed by the winner of the Young Angels Theatremakers Award.
