The Bliss family are eccentric. Judith is a retired actress. David is a novelist. Grown-up children Simon and Sorel live at home. The entire family lives in a melodramatic whirl where reality blurs with performance. When each member invites a visitor for the weekend, the intruders do not know what they have let themselves in for.
