Juliet Stevenson makes her Young Vic debut in Happy Days, Samuel Beckett’s existential masterpiece about a woman buried up to her waist in earth.

The Olivier Award nominated actress, whose acclaimed stage appearances include Duet For One at the Almeida and in the West End, and Death And The Maiden at the Royal Court, will take on the role of Winnie, the play’s heroine, who confronts the despair of her situation with absurd diversions, lurches of optimism and fragments of memories.

The production is directed by Natalie Abrahami, who returns to the Young Vic following the success of After Miss Julie in 2012.
