Trevor Nunn directs a new stage adaptation of psychological thriller Fatal Attraction, bringing its tale of emotional blackmail and obsession to the Theatre Royal Haymarket.

The story, which was made famous by Michael Douglas and Glenn Close in the 1987 film, centres on New York lawyer Dan Gallagher, who has an affair with gorgeous young woman Alex Forrest. While Dan assumes he can walk away from his weekend fling, Alex has other ideas and plots an attack of obsession and revenge that has terrifying consequences for Dan and his family.

Fatal Attraction is penned by James Dearden, the writer of the original screenplay, and directed by acclaimed Cats and Les Misérables director Nunn, whose most recent credits include Scenes From A Marriage at the St James theatre and A Chorus Of Disapproval at the Harold Pinter theatre.
