Olivier Award-winning actor Robert Lindsay stars alongside Olivier Award nominee Katherine Kingsley in new musical comedy Dirty Rotten Scoundrels The Musical at the Savoy Theatre.

Based on the 1988 film of the same name starring Michael Caine and Steve Martin, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels transports audiences to the luxurious lap of the French Riviera, where the decadent world of sophisticated conman Lawrence Jameson is set to crumble with the arrival of larger-than-life conman Freddy Benson.

After realising the town isn’t big enough for the both of them, the pair go head to head in the con of their lives, pulling out all of the stops in a bid to win the affections of millionaire soap heiress Christine Colgate.

Best known for his long-running role as Ben Harper in BBC sitcom My Family, Lindsay returns to musical theatre following performances in Oliver! and Me And My Girl, both of which won him Olivier Awards.

Kingsley, who most recently starred in Michael Grandage’s production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, has notched up both comic and musical theatre experience in recent years, appearing in hit musical Singin’ In the Rain and Olivier Award-winning comedy The 39 Steps.

The production is directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Jerry Mitchell with designs by Olivier Award winner Peter McKintosh.

Please note, Robert Lindsay will not appear at the following matinee performances: 11, 18, 25 February
