Inspired by the life of Nina Simone, international hit play Black Is The Color Of My Voice plays at the Vaults for three weeks only.

Black Is The Color Of My Voice centres on a successful jazz singer and civil rights activist who, following the untimely death of her father, sets our to attain redemption.

From young piano prodigy to the forefront of the Civil Rights Movement, her journey will see her life shaped by service of the church, becoming a revolutionary renowned jazz vocalist along the way.

The show stars Apphia Campbell (The Last Bordello, Woke), and has recently played critically acclaimed runs in Shanghai, New York and at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, as well as at London’s Wilton’s Music Hall. Now, the show arrives in London as part of Campbell’s debut UK tour.
