Richard Alston and his dancers have been credited with finding the ultimate synthesis between music and movement. They perform choreography that is as affecting and striking as it is subtle and beautiful.

In a must-see collaboration for Britten’s centenary year, they dance four pieces, including two world premieres, set to the composer’s music played live by the Britten Sinfonia.

Britten:
Lachrymae
Phaedra (New work, Barbican co-commission, world premiere)
Sechs Holderlin Fragmente (New work, Barbican co-commission, world premiere)
Les Illuminations
