Steam Industry Free Theatre presents another season of free theatre at The Scoop at More London.

Its family show this summer is Jules Verne’s classic Around The World In Eighty Days, freely adapted from director Phil Willmot’s musical version which played at BAC some 10 years ago.

Around The World In Eighty Days tells the story of dashing Victorian adventurer Phileas Fogg and his hapless servant Passpartout who attempt to cross the globe in record time. A wayward balloon, a beautiful princess, a grumpy elepant, a dastardly villain, sacred cows, a wild west outlaw, a Chinese dragon and countless calamities conspire to help or hinder our heroes.

The Scoop is an outdoor 1,000-seat amphitheatre next to the Thames at City Hall. All performances are free and booking is not necessary – just turn up.
